Swalwell Buildings
Old Swalwell Bridge was erected in 1778 and was once on the Turnpike from Gateshead to Hexham. It was replaced by the new Swalwell Bridge by 1930 and ceased to be on the main road. This 1960's view looks toward Axwell Park.
